There is a saying in a Jamaica \u201c We are little but we are tallawah (strong).\u201d <\/span>This collection pays homage to the Windrush generation that came over, dressed in their flamboyant shirts with their grip (suitcase) in-hand \u2013 a generation that defied the odds. They did not leave behind their style or identity. 70 years ago, they founded the New Testament Church of God in England and Wales. When they were not allowed to rent rooms and couldn\u2019t buy houses, they came together to build a safe-space- a shared space for all. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Playful Energy was inspired by the joy and vibrant light children emit whilst playing football.\u00a0\u00a0The 3 piece knitted set features an adjustable bodycon skirt, an off the shoulder jumper and a printed padded bra. With dip dyed machine knit football socks and matching glove.<\/p>\n

The Dubied machine and hand knit textiles was influenced by the fluid drawing style of children drawings and the stripes so synonymous with a football kit.\u00a0\u00a0The hand dyed yarns are combined together with strips of print. The Print was designed in collaboration with designers Yoonsoo and Maggie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
